📣 Important Announcement:
- The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) has announced that effective 1st of August 2024, the mandatory adoption of e-invoicing will be implemented.
An E-Invoice is a digital representation of a transaction between the seller and you as a buyer which contains all relevant data fields required by the IRBM. An e-invoice will replace paper or electronic documents such as invoices, credit notes and debit notes.
You may request an e-invoice upon order completion via the Shopee app or Shopee web. Follow the steps below to learn how you can generate your order's e-invoice.
⚠️ Note:
- Keep in mind that you have until the 3rd day of the following month from when the order is completed to request an e-invoice. Find out more about e-invoicing with our E-Invoicing Implementation FAQ.
Shopee Web
Step 1: Click on your Profile Username
Step 2: Click on My Purchase
Step 3: Select to view Order Details
Step 4: Click on the E-Invoice Icon to see the validity period
Step 5: View the validity period and click on Confirm
Step 6: Click on Request Now to generate e-invoice
Step 7: Fill out your details and click on Submit
Shopee App
Step 1: Click on the Me tab
Step 2: Click on My Purchases
Step 3: Click on your order to view the Order Details
Step 4: Click on the E-Invoice icon to view the validity period
Step 5: View the validity period and click on OK
Step 6: Click on Request Now to generate an e-invoice
Step 7: Fill out your details
Step 8: Click on Submit Request
Step 9: Click OK
⚠️ Note:
- Kindly ensure the Email Address you entered is valid so you can receive your E-Invoice through the app.
- The Request Now button is only visible when the status of the order is marked Completed
- Orders that have been Returned or Refunded will not generate an E-Invoice
